Pierre REVERDY
Cutler in Damascus steel
Craft National Living Treasures 2004

Born in 1960, Pierre Reverdy is a blacksmith and cutler maker.

Passionate by ironworks since adolescence age, he acquired with patience the apprenticeship and knowledge necessary to creation.

With his wife Nicole, they founded their workshop in 1989. This is in this magic and timeless atmosphere, where anvil and forge rub elbows with marvels and myths that his blades are born. They reflect as well techniques from the past and contemporary inspiration.

Each piece is unique, designed and forged in the best materials, high steel finely worked or poetic damask-steel; Nicole imagines sometimes enamelled set and the handle of these knives are made of mammoth ivory, precious wood and other rare materials. Member of Grands Ateliers de France, Pierre Reverdy was co-opted to the most prestigious knife exhibition of the world: AKI de San Diego, Art Knife Invitational.
